How does it all work?

This is a more technical article just outlining how Canvas functions, and how this is different from Blackboard.

Canvas is not hosted on USF campus, but instead takes advantage of the Amazon cloud and its fantastic up-time (Check out more here )

The system (for any interested people) is based off the Ruby-on-rails platform.  More information can be found here
